• iTabs: Personalize your race medal with your name and finish time for $15.00.

• Strollers: Jogging strollers are allowed in the 5K but they MUST start at the back for the safety of the child as well as the other participants. All strollers MUST pay an entry fee of $20.00. This can be purchased during the registration process. It includes a bib, medal, and giveaways. It does not include the shirt.

• Ferry Tickets: Participants can now choose how to get to Toronto Island - whether by ferry or water taxi. Ferry tickets will be available to purchase through the registration site, giving you the flexibility to book additional tickets if needed.

Times:

​Challenge participants will start with Wave 1 at 9:40 am of the 10K. Upon completion of the 10K, participants will immediately start the 5K course. They will receive a completion time for both distances.

Commute:

Jack Layton Ferry Terminal: 9 Queens Quay W., Toronto, ON.

• Discounted ferry tickets are available to purchase through the registration site.

• Alternatively, ferry tickets can be purchased directly through the ferry terminal by clicking here.

• The ferry departs at 8:00AM, 8:45AM and 9:15AM. These times may be subject to change.

Pirate Taxi Special Offer:

Pirate Taxi will open early at 7AM to get participants, family, friends and spectators to Centre Island fast - no schedules, they will load the boat and leave immediately.

​

Special discounted fare for race participants: only $10 (+GST) each way with proof of your registration email, race bib, or Pirate Taxi booking confirmation. Friends, family and spectators are welcome too (regular fare: $13 + GST). 

​

Reserve your departure time, number of people in your group, and which of the two Pirate Taxi docks you will be departing from:

• 235 Queens Quay West - on the boardwalk

• 375 Queens Quay West - beside HTO Park West, between Spadina Ave & Rees St

​

Reserve your departure time online so that they can have your boat ready: Book your Pirate Taxi Ride.

Bikes, strollers, wagons and dogs can be brought on board at no extra charge. No booking needed for return trips - just come to Centre Island water taxi dock when you're ready and pay on the city side. You'll receive the same discounted fare on the return trip.

 

Parking:

 

Due to the location of the race site, there is no vehicular access to the race site. All participants and spectators will need to travel to Toronto Island via ferry or water taxi.

Packet pick-up:

 

All race bibs are available for pick-up on Race Day. If you purchased a ferry ticket through us, they will also be available for pick-up on Race Day. Tables will be set up outside of the Jack Layton Ferry Terminal. We suggest that you arrive no less than 30 minutes prior to your desired ferry departure time.

 

Photo ID is required to pick up your race packet.

A free gear check will be available on-site. All bags must be collected by 12:30pm.

Awards are only given out for the 5K and 10K distances. Superhero challenge participants will be eligible for awards in both.
